Historian Ramachandra Guha’s book wins Elizabeth Longford Prize for Historical Biography 2023

Ramchandra Guha collected £5,000 cheque for winning the highly regarded Elizabeth Longford Prize for Historical Biography 2023 in its 20th anniversary year for Rebels against the Raj: Western Fighters for India’s Freedom (published by William Collins).

Guha also received a bound copy of Longford’s autobiography, The Pebbled Shore (1986).

Ramayan Temple in Bihar set to become world's largest, projected completion by 2025

The construction work of the ‘world’s largest Ramayan temple' starte in the East Champaran district of Bihar following some religious rituals at the site.

The reports stated that the ‘Ramayan temple’ in Bihar will be taller than the 12th-century Angkor Wat temple complex in Cambodia.

The estimated cost of the temple's construction is ₹500 crore.
