DRDO organises workshop on 'Human Factors Engineering in Military Platforms'

Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan inaugurated a two-day workshop on 'Human Factors Engineering in Military Platforms' in New Delhi.

The workshop has been organised by Defence Institute of Physiology and Allied Sciences (DIPAS), a Delhi-based laboratory of Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO).

Union Health Minister Mankush Mandaviya chaired a two-day Global Conference on Digital Health on March 20-21 in New Delhi.

Using India's Presidency of G20, the conference was organised by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and the WHO (World Health Organisation) South-East Asia Regional Office.

UBS agreed to buy rival Swiss bank Credit Suisse for 3 billion Swiss francs ($3.23 billion) and agreed to assume up to $5.4 billion in losses, in a shotgun merger engineered by Swiss authorities to avoid further market-shaking turmoil in global banking.

Pankaj Advani Beats Brijesh Damani to Retain Asian Billiards Title

India’s Pankaj Advani retained his Asian Billiards title in the 100-up format, defeating fellow countryman Brijesh Damani 5-1 in the final played at Qatar Billiards and Snooker Federation (QBSF) Academy.

Advani is a 25-time International Billiards and Snooker Federation (IBSF) world champion.

This is the eighth Asian Billiards title in all for Advani.

PM MITRA: Seven states selected to develop mega textile parks

The Government of India announced the sites for setting up of 7 PM Mega Integrated Textile Regions and Apparel (PM MITRA) Parks for the Textile industry. The Parks will come up in Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Gujarat, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, and Maharashtra.
