ICMR has invited applications for the 80 Assistant posts for which the registration date was 3^rd December 2020. Now that the registration is over, it’s time for candidates to have a keen look at the ICMR Assistant Syllabus and Exam Pattern. These two factors are the most important things to be aware of while preparing for the ICMR Assistant exam. The ICMR Assistant selection will be done via an online written test and a skill test with 80% and 20% weightage respectively. The candidates need to buckle up for the ICMR Assistant Recruitment Examination scheduled on 03/01/2021. ICMR Assistant Syllabus – Overview

The ICMR Assistant syllabus include topics on General Intelligence, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude (Basic Arithmetic Skills), English Language (Basic Knowledge). Find the detailed ICMR Assistant Exam syllabus below.

• The ICMR Assistant Online Test will be conducted for 80 Marks consisting of MCQs
• 80% marks/weightage will be for the written/Computer Based Test (MCQs).
• There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
• Marks scored by candidates in Computer Based Test will be normalized. Normalized scores will be used to determine final merit and cut -off marks.

For the purpose of normalization, VH candidates will be considered only with the candidates of the main shift.

• For VH candidates of 40% and above visual disability, there will be no component of Maps / Graphs/ Diagrams / Statistical Data in the General Intelligence / Quantitative Aptitude subjects.

General Awareness

Questions on General Awareness asked in ICMR Assistant Exam will be designed to test the general awareness of the environment and its application to society.

1. Questions will also be designed to test knowledge of current events and of such matters of everyday observations and experience in their scientific aspect as may be expected of any educated person.
